NAB 2012

I just got back from NAB and was reflecting on what NAB 2012 meant for me.  2011 was the year of DSLR and 3D and was expecting something to be the dominant theme for 2012. Some might argue that this was the year of 4K with Canon announcing 2 new 4K cameras.  However, I came away feeling this was the year of social – not social media.  I spent a lot of time on the show floor looking at new products and gear but the majority of my time was spent connecting with friends and connections I have made through social media over the past 3-4 years.  Many of the people I connected with seemed to be spending most of their time connecting with people they rarely, if ever, get to connect with in person.  The 2012 show was by far the most enjoyable NAB I have ever attended.  I am attributing that to the year of “social” where it still comes down to people and not always the latest camera.cheap oem software download
